I wish I would have only paid $1 to see 30 Days...

Honestly as a huge fan of the comic series I was highly disappointed by the theatrical release.

Not only did they change key aspects to the storyline, but they also relied heavily on the over-used, frantic, shakey-cam during the attack scenes which ended up being more of a distraction than any type of addition to the tension.

Speaking of tension...where was it? Other than a few moments of "stay away from the window" the movie was as bland as a piece of bread soaked in water.

There wasn't enough vampire...the CGI was HIDEOUS...and there was really never any reason to give a shit about any of the characters aside from possibly Eben and Stella...but by making them estranged instead of deeply in love like in the comics...I didn't care about anyone.

I wish I could interview Steve Niles again...because I know he liked the film, and I want to know WHY?

I didn't hate it, but certainly didn't love it liked I hoped I would.

Having not read any of the graphic novels, i dont get any of the satisfaction of knowing when they F up the original story... ignorance is bliss, what can i say? even without knowing the story line i enjoyed it for the most part. on that i would like to say that people really need to quit the shaky-cam thing and break the budget on a tripod or somehting... your right, no tention all distraction.
